Lesley and I rented a car for the day and took Henry and Oliver to Salem. We ate lunch and then ventured over to the
Salem Witch Museum. It was a little too cold to explore the rest of the town, and the trolley tour was not in operation at this time of year, so it's a place I'll definitely re-visit when it warms up a little. There was no photography allowed inside, but it would be a fun starting point to a day of exploring the town so that you could get a feel for the mindset of the times and the social structure that allowed such a chaotic turn of events.
Statue of Roger Conant, who was the first settler in Salem. It's located in the middle of a little traffic island, so I'll have to wait until I'm not commandeering a stroller (in about 18 years) to get a better photo.)
