With Pies, Pumpkins, Potatoes, Pecans and the Pats, it was a day of P's and Thank You.

Pumpkin roll getting ready to fill...

Grandma Pat occupied the boys with a rousing game of Chutes and Ladders

Pecan Pie ready to go into the oven. I love my Mark Bittman cookbook!

The turkey's all seasoned up and ready to go into the deep fryer

Lowering it into the fryer

Dailey was so patient watching that bird get carved.

Prost! With a home-brewed pumpkin ale.

Unleashing the fest.

After a full day of cooking and baking. I love my new apron from Aunt Ione

I had already started to cut into the pecan pie, but it was the best I've ever had! It used eggs and sugar as thickener instead of corn syrup. Not too sweet, perfectly crunchy goodness!

And, of course, a kiss for the cooks.

Knitty in Training

Henry wanted to make a scarf for himself, and was frustrated when I tried to help him with the needles. I remembered those little loom things so we went to Jo-Ann's today and he picked out the yarn (pink, of course) and I got him the loom. He's quite the little knitty so far!

Tea for Two (or more)

Charlie has discovered the joys of the tea party.

Really? Another picture? He'll fit in just fine with the boys around here :)

Charlie's making sure all of his animals get excused from the table when they're done with their food.

The Fruits of Labor

Charlie got to enjoy a mini Hershey bar from trick-or-treating last night after dinner. Of course, he pressed the pieces on his face first, because what the fun in simply eating it?
