Tae Kwon Do

We went to a birthday party at a Tae Kwon Do studio today, and Henry loved it...even though he was his usual spazzy self. I think it may help him with listening and discipline, so I took them up on their party offer of three classes + uniform for $20 so he can try it out. To be continued...

Can you see Henry's little face peeking through the bubble?

More fun at the Mystic Aquarium...Henry and his friend, Kevin. I had the three kids with me, and we had a great day!

Breakfast in the Park

henry and I met with some other moms for breakfast in the park on Thursday morning. We got there at 8 to try and beat the heat, but it was already over 80 and pretty humid. We had fun though, and we were accompanied by about 40 geese.

One more into the fold...

Everytime Henry sees me knitting, he asks to 'knit a stitch'. I knew it wouldn't be long before he asked me to do it all on his own. Tonight we sat down after Charlie laid down and cast on his very first stitches...makes a knitty mama proud.

When he did it, he said 'I can knit because I'm so huge, and strong, and...knitty!' He's so funny, and I'm glad that he's equating this fibercraft with strength and hugeness...what a great example I must be :)

Charlie took awhile to figure out that you can't eat the end of it...

Henry was happy to demonstrate

Assabet Park, Northboro

I took Henry to the park, and they must have re-filled the sandbox, because it was fresh and clean! Those little ears aren't sunburned, it was 93 degrees out and about as humid, so we packed up the water and had a little Mommy and Me time in the shade at the sandbox.

Salisbury Beach

We had a great afternoon at Salisbury Beach! I was crouching in the water and that's a wave building behind us. I was interested to see what the picture would look like it because just after he took it, it crashed over us and knocked me over...and Henry ;)

The sand at this beach is fantastic! It's soft and powdery and the kids loved it! I guess this is the only shot I got of Jared:( This was the first beach trip of the summer that I didn't have the kids by myself, so I was in the water a lot more, hence less pictures. It was really fun!

We went to Davis in the morning and he painted glasses, a moustache and goatee on his face. Tres Chic!

At the end of the video, when I got cut off, I was saying "And Yes, Jared dressed him today." :)

Nashoba Valley Winery

Some friends and I went to Nashoba Valley Winery today and had a little vino. The majority of their wines are from hard fruit, and they also have a distillery to make vodka and gin. We forgot to take pictures of ourselves, though! A lot of the wines were pretty sweet, but the Renaissance Red was really good! I got extra drink tickets for answering questions, and she called me a 'smarty pants' when she handed them to me...hey, being a teacher's pet pays off sometimes!

Drawbridge Puppet Theater-Lunenburg

We went to a birthday party at a puppet theatre. Since it was a third birthday, they did Three Little Pigs and the Three Little Bears. Henry LOVED it!

With his Mickey Mouse ears on...he was so good!
