Central Branch Y Worcester Half-Marathon Training Group

My training group before the run in Mid-May along the Reservoir in outer Worcester/Holden. I'm in the back row in a blue ball cap (fifth in from the right side)

Pound for Pound

March 20th (4 miles; walked a lot)

Post-run on May 22nd (11.2 miles; ran the whole thing!)

Sometimes you just have to have photographic evidence that change is in progress :) A few months ago, I signed up and committed to losing 10 pounds on the 'pound for pound' challenge. I've lost almost 30 and feel great! I have been having such an awesome time training with my team, and can't wait until we dominate on June 13th! (We got sponsored for matching dri-fit shirts and make up 10% of the race's entrants so it will be fun to see all our blue shirts in the sea of people. It's a pretty small race, so it'll be great!

Henry's reading his first comic book. Through facebook, I met one of Jared's extended family members whose husband is a comic book editor and she sent a whole package of comic books for Henry! I'm saving most of them for the trip west, but gave him a couple now. He loves them!

I didn't get Charlie's whole head in the frame, but I love his hands on my cheeks

Henry loves to do everything Jared does.

Matchers!

Charlie picked these pajamas out at Old Navy because they have 'Blopbalee' on them...that's right, that's how he says elephant. Totally sounds like it, right? :)

Fruit Cicles!

We bought popcicle molds and made strawberry pops with frozen strawberries, milk and a tiny bit of sugar (less than a table spoon total) they turned out really good and a great dessert for kiddos with a sweet tooth :)

Enjoying the abundance of the leftovers

After an agonizing day of waiting for them to freeze, he gets to enjoy his 'star pop'

Berlin Park

Henry and Charlie on the Rocking Toy. Sorry my voice is so annoying! I took this video with my blackberry, so the quality's pretty poor, but just wanted you to see him in action!

Ellsworth McAfee Park

We found a great new park that was completed a couple of years ago, and is part of a larger soccer field complex. It's great for bigger kids, so it's a fun place for me to take Henry when we get to go by ourselves. There is a walking path that goes that circumference of the soccer field, and Henry and his friends rode scooters and Hot Wheels around it. I could see him the whole time, but it was the first time I'd let him go that far away from me. It was both freeing and scary as there were a lot of other people there, but he did great!

Progress!

Our house has been issued its Certificate of Occupancy, the Assessment is complete and in to the mortgage company, the appliances that we needed for assessment were purchased, delivered and installed! Up next; sod :)

We'll be adding hardware to the cabinetry when we get there...it wasn't something that they add, as there are recesses in the tops of the drawers and under the cabinet, but I think it just looks unfinished without hardware.

Master bathroom; now we can both get ready at once!

After Seven LONG years of medical school and residency, it's drawing to a close. Congratulations to Jared! The boys and I are so proud of him!

I Go Night-Night...

Charlie drug the pillow and blanket from Henry's room into the living room and made a little bed for himself. Then he enlisted Henry to lay down with him and shenanigans ensued. I love the look on his face when he's smiling at Henry in the third post, first picture.
