Mr. ladybug

This was the runner-up for Henry's Halloween costume, but I found a really cute one, so you'll have to stay tuned for the Halloween Pics!

Da Bears!

We were at a dinner for the ED staff, and Henry fell in love with one of the doctor's hats and kept "borrowing" it. He adjusted it to fit Henry's head better, and when he was leaving, I reminded that we needed to find Henry to get his hat. He said 'It's Henry's now. I'll do anything to make another Bears fan.' When asked what to say, Henry replied "Oh Thanks!"...he makes his mama proud!

I Build a Truck!

We went to a nursery called Trombetta's, which also happens to have a wooden toy and craft shop in the back. It's designed for kids from toddlers up to create their own wooden toys (with real hammers and screwdrivers.) For only $10, Henry got to build this tractor trailer...I was amazed at how he could use the hammer. It was just blocks of wood, dowels and wheels before we started, he also got to paint it all by himself! He slept with it the first night.

Counting

But I'm NOT sleepy!

Henry finally crashes...notice the sock on his hand; his latest accessory.

He just layed in his room crying and scribbling on his magna doodle until he fell asleep, pen still clutched in his fist...He'd give Charlton Heston a run for his money!

FYI..I finally figured out what he was doing with the sock...he was trying to call it a puppet...we were at a birthday party last weekend and the kid got a bunch of hand puppets, so Henry was trying to make his own ghetto fabulous version with his skid bottom socks...awesome!

Now I know my ABC's...

Well, not really, but here he is starting with A....

Walk a mile in my shoes

This is the video that I tried to email to everyone in January, and only a few of you could open it...it's in our old apartment...ignore the gross carpet from Henry eating there forever :)

I Drive the Bus!

Henry loves all things motor-related. Lately, his toybox is a bus...he opens and closes that door and drives. I cut it off at the very end, but he paused and then said "Papa" because he was telling Papa that he was driving the bus...sorry.

Big apology for it being sideways...I forget that you can't adjust that later...I did better on the other ones.

On the Road Again...

Jared had the weekend off, so we took our trusty copy of Lonely Planet: Road Trip New England that my co-workers gave us and headed to Vermont for the day. They're supposed to have the best fall foliage. The leaves are just starting to turn...of course, my main focus was to tour the Ben and Jerry's plant...that's the next trip :)

We drove to Brattleboro first, and then on to Bennington...such a pretty trip!

The leaves are just beginning to change...I can't wait until it's in full-color!

Hog Heaven

Henry was in "hog" heaven...when we stopped at the overlook, the owner of this bike took our picture, and Henry kept saying "I ride the motorcycle!" He thought it was funny, and offered to let Henry sit on it so we could take a picture...He sat there for a second and then said "Hat On!" Which is what he says for helmut.

We drove by this pumpkin patch that had Vermont spelled out in pumpkins...I didn't get a great picture of it, but it's up against the house. We had to turn around to get the picture, and then Henry freaked out when we didn't stop to get a pumpkin. He cried and cried and cried "Want Pumpkin!" I told him that if he stopped crying, we'd stop at the next patch and get him a little pumpkin, but that if he didn't he wouldn't get one. This was toward the end of the day, and he had been in the car for over 6 hours. He was silent, and then he blurted out "Henry Bored! Bored Bored Bored!" Jared and I just looked at each other and cracked up...he surprises us all the time with what he's able to articulate. Anyway, we got him his pumpkins at the next stop...they are still perched on the foot of his bed.

Argh!

This is how I found Henry after an almost week-long battle for him to take a nap in his toddler bed. After much frustration and tears, I finally told him that he just had to play by himself in his room for two hours.

Within about 45 minutes, it was suspiciously quiet in his room, and this is what I found. The calm in the storm!
