Trick or Treat!

Posted by Picasa
We just went to the houses in our neighborhood, and that was more than enough! They came home with their buckets full and tired legs. A good time was had by all :) (without police intervention this time around.)

Dress-Up!

Grandma Wutzke sent a big box of costumes for the boys...Henry was in heaven when I opened it up for them! charlie loves to play dress-up, too. They got up an hour before usual, so I whipped out the package we'd gotten the day before and a good time was had by all :)

He just hates to be the center of attention!

The Pumpkin Patch!

Manda took my kids to the pumpkin patch this weekend with my mom in Ontario while I ran in Boise. They had so much fun! Charlie kept saying he was having a 'deepover with Deda' (he can't quite get Cecelia out yet)

These two have so much fun together!

Last week Henry brought a large pumpkin home from school so excited to make a pie with it, and I told him that pie pumpkins are a lot smaller. Aparrently this stuck with him, because this is the pumpkin he had to have :)

Henry thought these gourds looked like microphones, so they were rocking out

Little Henny Homemaker

Last night, Henry got to stay up with me to make muffins for the Parent breakfast at school today. Before we started, I was vacuuming the floor, and he asked if he could PLEASE vacuum the couch. I was more than happy to let him, and he had a ball with the little detachable hand-held. Such attention to detail!

Each time we make something, he gets to do more and more by himself. He loves to help me in the kitchen, so takes it very seriously :) We made low-fat banana walnut muffins and as we were putting the walnuts on the top, he said 'This is what walnuts look like?!' I told him these were diced walnuts, and before I could get any further, he said 'If these are diced walnuts, actual walnuts must be much bigger.' He doesn't miss a thing!

Henry said he put 'a whole handful' on this one so that he'd know which one to keep in the morning.

Well, that didn't take long! This is why I invested in the solid pine set, instead of the ones you can get at Target or Wal-Mart :) Still IKEA prices, really well built. He looks mighty proud of himself!

Play On, Players

The play room is done! I was so excited for Henry to see it. And he was so cute...just stood in the doorway looking around going 'Wow!'

I promise I didn't just shove it all in the closet

The nerdy nook :)
