Crazy Like a Fox

This video leads me to believe that my darling husband has already begun to share his love for Ninja movies with Henry. Wouldn't it be great to have the amount of energy a two year-old does, still? He can now tell us his whole name, and my and Jared's names. I did this in preparation for the inevitable time that he will get lost at the mall when my supervision lapses and he has to tell security his mother's name...let's hope we don't ever have to use the skill for that reason!

Hat Hair

Henry still loves this hat that I knitted, which is quite obviously for an adult...he looks like a little cartoon character when he has it on because it covers almost his whole head.

What's Wrong with this picture?

What's wrong with this picture? Henry has been obsessed lately with throwing away his own garbage (a big plus for me). He also likes to take his cup to the sink when he's done. I do, however, have to keep track of what I've given him to eat and drink so that I don't find any nasty surprises later on. When I asked him where he put his banana peel, he said that he was feeding his horse...yeah...gross.

Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

Henry hunted for Easter Eggs this morning, which were sent to us by Aunt Heidi and Uncle Ben. Of course, I was in Target yesterday getting matchbox cars and a new shirt for Easter. Henry really liked finding the eggs, but he liked the candy that he found in them even more! He tried to pop the first one into his mouth before taking the foil off, because I told him he could have one...he spit it right back out again, and Jared said "Mommy doesn't give you very clear directions, does she?" Thanks :) It was kind of sad to realize that this is his last holiday as our only baby, but exciting at the same time. (Again, I'm sorry it's so dark, we still had the blinds closed, but if I open them then it's too bright to use our little digital camera and we didn't charge our regular video camera.)

Easter Brunch at the Beechwood Hotel

Probably our last family photo before little Charlie joins the mix!

Henry got a pair of bunny ears from our friends that we went with...he looks pretty cute!

Trip to Salem (Mass that is)

Lesley and I rented a car for the day and took Henry and Oliver to Salem. We ate lunch and then ventured over to the Salem Witch Museum. It was a little too cold to explore the rest of the town, and the trolley tour was not in operation at this time of year, so it's a place I'll definitely re-visit when it warms up a little. There was no photography allowed inside, but it would be a fun starting point to a day of exploring the town so that you could get a feel for the mindset of the times and the social structure that allowed such a chaotic turn of events.

Statue of Roger Conant, who was the first settler in Salem. It's located in the middle of a little traffic island, so I'll have to wait until I'm not commandeering a stroller (in about 18 years) to get a better photo.)

Lesley and Oliver Visit!

Henry quickly re-acquainted himself with all of his old toys, in which he has had ZERO interest until he saw another child playing with them. It was interesting to see how many toys he could play with at one time...Charlie is going to be a big eye-opener for little Hank...

Somehow, I ended up without taking any photos of Lesley and I together :(

Tyson's Visit

Tyson brought Henry a Thomas the Train set, including a track, which kept Henry busy for the duration of the visit. H was enamoured with Tyson, and greeted him each morning by running to the bottom of the stairs and calling out his name at about 5:30am...I'm sure Tyson loved it!

Henry's New Dresser

Well, another good item falls prey to the Sara Wutzke School of Good Enough. I got a used dresser from another mom in our group. It's one of those great solid wood 1970's beasts that will last for another 20 years. Unfortunately, it was pink and white, and it had these wooden handles that just would not do :) As you can see, the handles were glued on, and then screwed on, and I don't have a planer, so it was only what the sandpaper could get off and then I slapped some paint over it. I don't think Henry will care, so neither do I!

The Pipes, The Pipes are Caaaaallling...

Uncle Nick, this one's for you!

St. Patty's Day Parade-Worcester

Okay, so the parade was not what I would call a success. Actually, I think the Little League parade in LaGrande was more exciting. To top it all off, it was SO COLD outside! It looks deceptively warm, but it wasn't. I'm looking forward to the Boston Parade, because I feel like this was just a warm-up. I posted only one video of the music, but there were about 400 pipe bands. Aparrently every public service group; police, fire, dunkin donuts employee union (kidding) have their own pipes and drums club. I think that Uncle Nick would have been dying, due to his lack of love for the ole pipes!

Had to include the UMass 'float' :)

Jelly Belly

I'm at 29 weeks and counting. This belly just keeps popping out! I'm so glad I've been working out, because I'm able to do a lot of stuff still...including lug my 30+ pound toddler around. I've only gained 8 pounds so far, so I guess I've technically lost weight? (I'll just keep telling myself that :) )

Naptime Stories

Henry loves to be read to before his naptime...he's getting sleepier and sleepier as the story wears on.

Happy Birthday, Dear Lesley!

Henry has been singing happy birthday a ton lately, so I thought we'd put it to good use. Sorry, he still has some pancake in his mouth so is not entirely intelligible...oh, well.

It's snowing ahahahahahgain!

This is the view from our porch which is off the living room/our bedroom. Yep, more snow...we got about 8 inches or so, but then it warmed up today and has been melting off the roofs. No wonder everyone has been getting sick. The weather is not consistently cold or warm.
