My Boy's Wicked Smaht!

Dr. Wutzke...he loves to pose for pictures for me. Sometimes I just need to say 'Jared, seriously, I don't have time to take your picture with every little milestone, I know that you love your picture being taken, but I've got errands to run, coupons to clip, dinners to cook...' But in the end, I haul out the camera and take his picture because I am a dutiful wife :)

Seriously, though, I was out of town for Jared's first day, so I made him re-create it when I dropped him off one day...he sure is gracious and good at humoring me!

Cambridge, MA

Something tells me that brick was a popular construction medium....
New England's version of MLK Jr Blvd...
Jared used to order comics from this shop when he was a kid in North Dakota...we just walked past it and he was so glad that he's told me that little fun fact from his childhood when I made him pose for the picture

This was a really fun day for us, and it was just amazing to think that they were here almost 150 years before the Constitution was signed!

Salisbury Beach, MA

Henry's first trip to the beach!

Henry and I spent a fun day at the beach with a group of other moms and kids. It was Henry's first trip, and he was not at all timid of the water. On the way home, I took a little unintentional detour and was very glad that I had filed away the little bit of trivia that Matt Damon was raised in Cambridge, because that's where we ended up. I had to call Nathan in Oregon to have him mapquest how to get home from where I was...it's always an adventure!

Henry wears my headbands all over the house, saying that they are his glasses...he puts them down over his eyes and then tilts his head back so that he can see...maybe he's just a future trekkie?
