Progress

Here's the progress on the house as of yesterday. I'm headed out in a couple weeks to pick the exterior color and all the interior finishes. It's overwhelming with all the decisions, but so much fun!

I think the two posts out front get wrapped and then have brick up the same level as the garage. It seems like a small house when I first looked at it, but then remember that the garage side still has a bedroom, bathroom, bedroom behind it. It's getting closer!

Freshly bathed and ready for stories at bedtime.

The dichotomy of my day; one minute he's just sleeping sweetly-the next, it's shenanigans. I thought he was maybe ready to be out of the crib while I showered since Henry was at school so there was no risk of bodily injury from an older sibling guarding the integrity of lego creations. Um, yes, that's the lock to the cabinet sitting on top. They were all folded and stacked nicely, but I guess he had other ideas for the irresistable stacks of colored diapers. He was pretty proud of himself, that's for sure!

Welcome, Baby Jasper!

We have another new baby boy in the family! The first child of Ben and Heidi Wutzke arrived safely yesterday afternoon. Heidi was an absolute trooper; water breaking in the car on the way to work (luckily, she works as a nurse in the hospital where she was to deliver), labor got underway and after only an hour of hard labor and pushing he arrived-all 8 pounds, 8 ounces 22.5 inches of him! We're so excited for Ben and Heidi, they're going to be amazing parents.

Here are a few pictures that were texted to me, or posted by Ben or Heidi's mom, Nancy, on Facebook.

...and they were off! It was a quick month with lots to do both at home and at sea. More pictures to come of Jared's time away.
