Aaaaaaaaar. Ahoy Matees!

Today we went trick-or-treating at the mall with friends, and Henry and Tyler were both dressed as pirates. They were given rulers at the bookstore and literally within a moment, they had turned the rulers into swords. I don't care what people say...there is some nature in there!

Because I am my father's daughter I used face paint to make an eye patch so that there was not a visibility issue :)

Although Charlie is two months older, the outfit is 3-6 months, so I decided to still use it for Halloween for him. It's just been fun to compare how they look different or the same. We had a party at the complex tonight, so we dressed the kids up and took them. I'm sure you can tell, but the top two are Henry and the bottom two Charlie.

Best Baby-sitter ever. No, I'm not talking about the Bumbo, I'm talkin' about the boob tube. This was while I was trying to fix dinner last night. Parent of the Year award, here I come!

What, Mom? It's PBS Kids!

Henry, I can't hear Word Girl, could you keep it down?

Drinking his "Steaming Cup of Hot Cocoa"...Yes, another Georgeism.

A Bird for My Snort

I walked in to find H's room looking like this...When I asked what he was doing, he said he was looking for his bird (look on the legos below)...

For his 'snort'...have you all read 'Are You My Mother?'

I just have to keep reminding myself that his amazing imagination is a gift...cleaning his room will be a learned behavior

My first sock completed! I used self-striping yarn, which made them kind of fun...

I made this baby blanket using cotton and 'baby' yarn held together. It's for a friend, although I was pretty tempted to keep it for myself when I was done because it's soft and cozy. It'll make a great crib or carseat blanket. It was the Cascading Colors pattern from Lion Brand, but I just used up yarn from my stash to make it.

Another pretty picture of something I drive by frequently

I've started taking my camera with me in the car because there are just so many pretty trees...here's a random intersection while I was on my Sunday drive to get the kids to nap after church. Yep, you read right, I said church.

This is the road that we take to get to Davis Farmland...it's such a pretty area, and the body of water Wachussett Reservoir on both sides. Don't worry, I was just holding the camera out and driving with the other hand. I wasn't really looking the direction of the camera ;)

Ringling

We got tickets to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for the whole family through my blog. We got to sit in the club seats and it was a LOT of fun! Henry loved the elephants.
