Davis Farmland

Henry and I went to Davis Farmland this morning while Jared recovered from a graveyard shift. We had SO much fun. Davis farmland is this amazing 7th generation farm that they turned into a children's discovery farm after a massive fire destroyed the majority of their dairy operation in 1990. They now house a lot of endangered farm animals, and have even gone in with the San Diego Zoo to create a frozen bank of some of the animals in the event that they are needed in the future. They had some Scottish Highland cows (the original animal that started the idea) and a ton of different goats, sheep, pigs, it was a lot of fun! It's all so kid-friendly (obviously) and the "Play and Spray" at the one end was a big hit with Henry! In the top picture, he looks like an angry fashionista telling the Paparazzi "I said no more photos!" The bottom photo was taken just by my turning around after taking the water shots. This was really a great place, and we'll be going back again and again! Their food area is "The Herd Rock Calfe" and they have a new corn maze every year...this year it's "Viva Lost Vegas"...pretty crafty people!
